Town of Palatine - Bruce E. Bowers, 76, of Fort Plain, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday May 21, 2020 at his home with his devoted family by his side.

Mr. Bowers was a proud member of The United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam war.
He was married to Sandra Townsend who preceded him in death on November 9, 2017.
For over 30 years, Bruce was employed at Niagara Mohawk where he worked as a lineman.
A man devoted to his family, Bruce's life was centered around his loved ones. Bruce took much pride in manicuring his lawn and planting a vegetable garden every year. He enjoyed tending the gardens that produced an abundance of vegetables that he generously shared with others. An avid sportsman, Bruce was a member of the Sprite Horn Club and was an avid participant of the Fort Plain Baseball games.
Survivors include his mother, Mardis; a daughter, Tina Bowers; two sisters, Beth Ryan and Bonnie Stowell; two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son Brett Bowers in 1994.
In keeping with Bruce's wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
