Brian F. Rice

Herkimer - Brian F. Rice, 77, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, NY.

He was born on February 29, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Leo and Mary (Gallagher) Rice. Brian graduated from high school in Brooklyn, NY.

Brian enjoyed traveling and eventually moved to Florida. While he resided in Florida, Brian was employed as a wildlife supervisor for the Florida Fish and Game Department.

Brian is survived by his brother, Paul Rice and a special friend, Mark Howell and wife Kathryn, and their children.

In keeping with Brian’s wishes, there are no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
