Barbara J. (McMann) Gardner

Ilion - Barbara J. Gardner, 81, of Ilion and a former long time Utica resident, passed away peacefully on Friday December 4, 2020 at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Ilion, NY.

She was born August 27, 1939 in Utica, the daughter of the late Jack and Dorothy (Parker) McMann and was educated in Utica schools.

Barbara was last employed as a nurse's aide at the Charles T. Sitrin Health Care in Utica. 

A woman devoted to her family, Barbara's life was centered around her loved ones. She enjoyed spending quality time with her children  and loved the special moments she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Haddad and her significant other, Ellie Newberry and Mary Hollins and her significant other, Dave Cunningham; two sons, Jeff Gardner and wife Elizabeth and Steve Gardner and his wife, Michelle; eight grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two bothers Bruce McMann and David McMann; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with the wishes of her family, services will be private and held ay their convenience. Arrangements are by the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
