Audrey B. (Couzens) Parry

Utica - Audrey B. Parry, 44, of Utica, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at her home.

She was born on April 28, 1977 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Rev. William L. and Elsie (Poust) Couzens, Sr. Audrey was a graduate of Maranatha Christian Academy in New Hartford and furthered her education at SUNY Cortland where she earned a Bachelor Degree in elementary education. Audrey was united in marriage to David J. Parry in Rome, NY in 2004.

Audrey was a caring and devoted friend to many; her compassion and optimism had no limits and she always put other people’s needs before her own. She always believed the best was yet to come. Audrey enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping and the love of her dog, Toby. Audrey’s greatest love however, was for her son, Dawson who was the star of her life, and around which her world revolved.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, David J. Parry of Utica; her beloved son, Dawson J. Parry of Utica. Brothers, William and Kim Couzens of Herkimer, Rev. James and Roxanne Couzens of Camden, Delaware, sister, Crystal V. Stalnaker (Couzens) and partner Missy Cool of St Johnsville. Extended family include her cherished nephews and nieces, Michael Couzens, Megan Sciara, Trevor Snell, Bryan Couzens, Elisabeth Couzens, and Jaxen Fee.

Special thanks to the unconditional love and support shown to her from her sister, Crystal, her devoted friends, Rev. Carl and Mrs. Roberta Chapman and aunt, Anita Parry Pieber.

In keeping with Audrey's wishes there are no formal funeral services. A celebration of her life will take place early next summer at a time to be announced. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
