St. Johnsville - Adam A. Klock, 99, of Ovid, NY, and a longtime Town of St. Johnsville resident passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.

Adam was born on August 12, 1926, at the Historic Klock Homestead (Fort Klock) the son of the late Lipe Klock Sr. and Clara (Rexford) Klock. He was the last Klock descendant born and raised at Fort Klock.

On June 15, 1946, Adam was united in marriage to the former Lois Snell. The couple shared a blessed union of 65 years until the passing of Lois on March 28, 2012. Lois was the love of his life.

Mr. Klock was a World War II Veteran. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17 on August 18, 1943, and was honorably discharged on April 23, 1946, with the rank of Corporal. He served in the Pacific Theater as an ordinance armorer.

For over 33 years, Adam was a village letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in St. Johnsville, finishing his career in Sprakers, NY. After his retirement, he along with his wife Lois moved to the Ovid area where he was employed at a bus driver for the South Seneca School District.

He is survived by his only son, James A. Klock and wife Kim; a granddaughter, Shannon Mazourek and husband Michael; two great grandchildren, Adam Mazourek and Lilja Mazourek; his nephew, David L. Klock and wife Sharon; great niece, Laura Klock Herbert and Husband Paul; and two great great nephews, Jackson Klock Herbert and Tyler Klock Herbert.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, a sister, Iva M. Klock, and a brother, Lipe Klock, Jr and his wife Louise.

Adam touched many as a father, uncle, grandfather, mentor, neighbor, and friend in his lifetime. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life caring for his property and connecting with those around him.

In keeping with Adam’s wishes, funeral services and burial at the Klock Family Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of his family in the Spring. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
