Salisbury Center – Preston W. Amerman, 73 of Salisbury Center, NY passed away on Thursday April 19, 2018 at the Abraham House, Utica, NY after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born February 17, 1945 in Montclair, New Jersey the son of the late Edward and Hulda E.T. (Cramer) Amerman. He was educated in West Caldwell and Roseland Central School Systems.
Preston was a Master Electrician and was owner and operator of Amerman Electric in Salisbury Center, NY. In his leisure he enjoyed riding his Harley.
Mr. Amerman was a member of the St. Patrick’s Lodge #4, F&AM in Johnstown. Preston was a Master Mason, a Knights Templar and received his 32nd degree of Scottish Rite.
He is survived by a son, Preston W. Amerman, Jr. of New Jersey, and several friends including Robert Klatt of Stratford and Mark Rose of Little Falls.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Paul F. Amerman and a brother, Edward A. Amerman, II.
In keeping with Preston’s wishes services will be private and burial will be held at the family plot at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, New Jersey. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Preston’s long time friend and funeral director, Vincent A. Enea of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany Street, Herkimer, NY.
