Herkimer – Mary E. Howe, 94, formerly of Maple Grove Ave., Herkimer passed away peacefully on Sunday June 11, 2017 at Homelife at Folts, with her loving family by her side.

She was born October 10, 1922 in Little Falls Hospital, the daughter of the late Anna M. Keller. Mary was a graduate of Mohawk High School, class of 1940.

On November 30, 1946 she was united in marriage to Le Roy J. Howe in the Annunciation Church in Ilion, NY. They shared a blessed union of 56 years until the passing of Le Roy on March 9, 2002.

For 17 years, Mary worked at the former A&P Grocery Store in Herkimer. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Herkimer.

A woman dedicated to her family, Mary’s life was centered around her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed the holidays when her whole family was together. Mary enjoyed being in the company her family and friends and was an avid Bingo fan. She loved taking bus trips to various locations with her friends, Madeline Ahern and Olga Sullivan. She will be dearly missed by her family and loved ones.

Survivors include her son, John Michael (Mike) Howe and his companion Cathy Tomaselli of Murrells Inlet, SC and Utica, NY; a daughter Cynthia B. (Cindi) Howe- Miller and her husband Earl of Aiken, SC; four grandsons, Timothy Howe and wife Julie and their children, Skylar and Shooter all of Malta, NY; Andrew Howe and his wife Kate and their daughter, Audrey of Chester, VA; Ryan Howe and his companion Marissa Perkins and her children of Herkimer, and Robert Howe of Islip, Long Island; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday June 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Church with The Very Reverend Mark Cunningham, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, NY. In keeping with the wishes of Mary and her family there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vincent A.
