Margaret M. Denofrio

St. Johnsville – Margaret M. Denofrio, 95 a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 27, 2018 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born June 8, 1923 in Herkimer the daughter of the late Daniel and Ately (Jubin) Mamrosch. Margaret was a graduate of Miami Edison High School in Miami, Florida.

Margaret was married to Nello Denofrio who preceded her in death on November 11, 1999.

For several years, she was employed at Nabisco Life Savers, in Canajoharie. At one time she worked at the former Parkers Video.

Mrs. Denofrio was a member of the Holy Family Parish in Little Falls, NY.

A woman devoted to her family, Margaret always put the needs of her children and grandchildren first. She enjoyed tending to her loved ones and making sure everything was taken care of.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah A. Roorda and husband Peter of York, South Carolina; a son, Daniel Denofrio and wife Charlene of Fort Plain; her seven loving grandchildren, Jason Denofrio, Joel Denofrio and wife Gina, Amiee Fox and husband Matthew, Stephen Roorda and wife Renee, Christopher Roorda and wife Elizabeth, Jessica O’Dare and husband Kevin and Lindsay Roorda; many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 31, 2018 at 10:00 am from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY 518-568-7040 and at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Terence Healy and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Burial will follow at Rural Park Cemetery, Ingham Mills, NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday October 31, 2018 from 9:00 am until the time of the services at 10:00 am.

All memorial contributions may be made to either, the Ayres Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166 or to the Holy Family Parish, 763 East Main St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the Doctors, nurses and staff of the St. Johnsville Nursing home for the excellent care and compassion shown to Margaret and her family during her stay.
