John Bernier, Sr. Obituary
Herkimer - John P. Bernier, Sr., 51, a long time Herkimer resident, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday April 7, 2019.
He was born March 29, 1968 in Herkimer the son of the late Gary E. and Helen M. (Boardman) Bernier, Sr. John was educated in Herkimer schools.
He was married to the former Eve Bersani on February 28, 1998 in North Carolina.
John was employed at Cranesville Concrete in Utica, NY.
Survivors include his wife Eve; two sons, John Patrick Bernier Jr., and Jacob Michael Bernier; a daughter, Megan Rose Bernier; a step-son, Zachary Bersani, a brother, Gary E. Bernier, Jr.; three sisters, Debbie Bernier, Jeannie Maynor and Jessica Bernier; three grandchildren, Riley, Leah and Tyliana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of John's life will take place on Monday April 15, 2019 from 5 - 8 pm at the Herkimer VFW, 129 Mohawk St., Herkimer, NY. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
