Henri L. Washington

Herkimer - Henri L. Washington, 39, of Herkimer passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Sunday October 28 2018.

He was born September 8, 1979 in Beaufort, South Carolina the son of Ella R. Washington.  Henri was educated at JFK High School in Utica, NY and at one time resided in Brooklyn, NY.

Mr. Washington was a member of the St. James AME Church in New York Mills, NY.

Henri was a devoted father, a loving son, a beloved brother and a memorable friend to many. A gifted man, Henri was a talented artist and enjoyed writing poetry that he shared with his loved ones.

Survivors include his loving mother, Ella of Kentucky; three sons, Jordan and Donte Washington and Anthony Jones; a daughter, Jahnea Braswell; two brothers, Orlando and Tekquanna Washington and Jason and Anastaia Washington; a sister, Shaquita Washington, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life for Henri will be held on Sunday November 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the St. James AME Church, 386 Main Street, New York Mills, New York with Reverend Diane Hodges, Assistant Pastor, officiating.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
