Deborah L. (Ferge) Pirnie

Little Falls - Deborah L. (Ferge) Pirnie, 68 of Little Falls and a former Ilion resident, passed away on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at Little Falls Hospital.

She was born August 27, 1950 in Ilion, NY the daughter of the late William and Marjorie (Anderson) Pirnie. Ferge was educated at West Canada School, Herkimer BOCES and received her Associates degree from Herkimer County Community College.

For over 20 years, Ferge was employed at Remington Arms where she held the position of Assembler. Deb was of the Episcopal faith.

Ferge was a loving and caring sister and aunt, who gave selfless of her time for her loved ones. She was the most happiest when she was with her family especially the quality time she spent with her great niece and great nephew, Shannon and Cameron Enea.

Survivors include her sister -in - law, Thelma Pirnie of Glens Falls, NY; a brother-in-law, Jack Ford of Little Falls; two step brothers, Robert Jay and his companion Mary of Ilion and Michael Jay and wife Gail of Ohio, NY; nieces, Kimberlee Enea, Tayna DiFillippo and Donald, Jamie McCoy and husband Tom, and Erica Fisker and husband Jacob; nephews, William Pirnie and wife Lori, Robert Jay and David Jay; many great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her brother, Thomas Pirnie; a step sister, Sandy Ford and a nephew, James Murray, Jr.

A memorial service will take place on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at 7:00 pm from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.  The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until the time of the services at 7:00 pm. All memorial contributions may be sent to the Herkimer Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
