Cholena T. Lethbridge

Utica - Cholena T. Lethbridge, 28 of Utica and a former Herkimer resident, passed away unexpectedly on Monday April 15, 2019.

She was born April 1, 1991 in Little Falls, NY the daughter of John and Maisry (Ennis) Lethbridge. Cholena was educated at the former St. Francis de Sales Catholic School. She was an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Lakota Nation of Montana.

Cholena was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Herkimer. She was a loving and caring daughter and sister. She found much enjoyment spending time with her two nephews. She was a gentle soul that found beauty in the arts. She enjoyed reading and history. She loved all animals from spiders to bats and kept baby field mice in socks in a cup for a few days. She was beautiful inside and out and will never be forgotten. 

She is survived by her parents, John and Maisry of Herkimer; her paternal grandfather, Leonard ( Opa) Lethbridge of Saskatchewan, Canada; two sisters, Kiona Lethbridge of Herkimer, and Malila Lethbridge of Little Falls; two nephews, Ohiyesa Shenandoah - Lethbridge and Enapay Shenandoah - Lethbridge; her Aunt Julie Lethbridge and Uncle Ross Lethbridge.

She was pre-deceased by her maternal grandparents, Wasyl and Theresa Bodnaruk and her paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Lethbridge And paternal uncle Leonard Yellowbird Lethbridge (Uncle Jr.). She was also predeceased by her fur babies Magdalena and Schnookums her children as she called them.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Reverend Mark Cunningham, pastor. Burial in Calvary Cemetery will take place later in the spring. Family and friends may call at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY on Monday April 22, 2019 from 5 -7 pm.
