Dolgeville - Brian A. Baum, 34 of the Town of Oppenheim, Dolgeville, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 1, 2019.
He was born November 6, 1984 in Little Falls the son of Trudy Farley. Brian was a graduate of Oppenheim - Ephratah High School with a certificate to follow from BOCES in communication.
At the time of his passing he was employed at Beardslee Castle as a highly thought of employee and they expressed that on their website. He enjoyed working with as he would always say "his extended adopted family". He would always do what he could to help in anyway. He was quoted to always say "I do what I can".
Brian was a very private and quiet man that found much enjoyment in caring for his beloved animals, including his chickens and ducks for which everyone of them he named and also his beloved and cherished canine Chloe Ann. In his spare time he enjoyed video games but most of all he was intrigued by learning and following Nordic language and symbolism. He was very artistic in so many ways and spent alot of time on whether it be drawings, painting or creating art out of simple, everyday objects that could only be seen through his eyes.
Along with his mother, Brian is survived by two sisters, Myriah Smith and Heather Baum both of Ilion; three nieces, Leah Lynch, Katherine Sampere and Lily Powell; three nephews, Todd Smith, Jr., Jesse James Smith and Elijah Baum, a great niece, Katrina Lynn Faaske that was his much loved hurricane; two aunts, Audrey Dillenbeck and Roberta Sampere of Oppenheim; many cousins and friends that loved him deeply. He is also survived by his significant other, Mike Miklic of Gloversville who brought much happiness to Brain as they planned their future together; and his father, Clifford Baum.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 8, 2019 at 12:00 noon from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY. Burial will follow at Mt. hope Cemetery, Fordsbush, NY. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday June 8, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of the services at 12:00 noon.
