St. Johnsville - Leo Gregory Mancini, 75, of the (Town of Ephratah), St. Johnsville, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, NY.

He was born on January 14, 1949, in Little Falls, NY the son of the late Leo T. and Dora (Palombi) Mancini. Greg was educated in St. Johnsville schools.

Greg was a truck driver for the New York State Department of Transportation. After his retirement, he owned and operated the Toad Construction in the Town of Ephratah.

Greg was a devoted father, grandfather and brother, who always put the need and concerns of his family first. He could always be found at Stewarts, enjoying a cup of coffee and visiting with his friends. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling.

Greg is survived by his son, Steven (Stephanie) Mancini; his grandchildren, Steven Jr., Thomas, and Nina; a brother, Michael Mancini and his wife Martha; Steven's mother and Greg's good friend of 55 years, Gail Mancini, and many cousins and friends.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10 - 12:00 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY 518-568-7040. A prayer service will follow at 12:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Brian Slezak, pastor of the Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, NY officiating. Burial will follow at St. Johnsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to a veteran's agency of your choice.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the ICU unit of Ellis Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Greg and his family during this difficult time.
