James Rowland Obituary

Little Falls – James F. Rowland, 76, of the Town of Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Little Falls Hospital.

He was born on May 4, 1947, in Jamaica, NY the son of the late Wallace C. and Alice (Perry) Rowland, Sr. Jim was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, class of 1964.

Mr. Rowland was a United States Army Veteran.

Jim was united in marriage to Karen D. Polk on December 17, 1977, in East Port, NY.

Jim was last employed as a crane operator for the Local I.U.O.E. that was stationed in Syracuse, NY. Prior to that, he was owner and operator of James F. Rowland Inc. in Long Island, NY.

Survivors include her devoted wife of 46 years, Karen; two daughters, Alison Rowland and Kristin Powell; three grandchildren; a brother, Wallace C. Rowland, Jr. and wife Ann; and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
