Herkimer - Barbara A. (Bobbi) Netti, 74, of the Town of Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Wynn Hospital, Utica, NY.
She was born on August 24, 1949, in Utica, NY the daughter of the late Michael and Marie (Bouse) Panzone. Bobbi was a graduate of the Utica Catholic Academy, class of 1967. She later earned her License Practical Nursing degree from the former Wetmore Nursing School.
On August 28, 1971, Bobbi was united in marriage to Michael Netti at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica, NY.
For 11 years, Bobbi was a nurse for the Herkimer County Hospice and was employed at the Herkimer County Public Health Department until her retirement in 2015.
Bobbi's life was centered around her family. She was the happiest when she was with her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them how to cook and bake. In her leisure, she took much pride in tending to her flower gardens around her home.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Michael; daughter, Erin Netti Foti and husband David; son, Brian Netti and fiancée Mary Beth Murphy; her cherished grandchildren, Cameron Platt, Logan (Selph) Netti, Grace Netti and Gabriella Foti; three sisters, Ann Marie Cook and husband Bill, Joanne Jones and husband Ed, and Lynda Follos and husband Steve; in-laws, Linda Fullmer and husband Ed, Sandra Rice and husband Bert, Debbie Sweeney and husband Phil, and Mark Netti and wife Tammi; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her sister, Suzanne DeFuria, brothers, Michael Panzone and Rick Panzone, and in-laws, Joseph Netti and James Netti.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY. A prayer service will follow at 1:00 pm at the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will take place later in the spring at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, NY.
