Yvonne Ramdeen

Tarrytown, NY - Yvonne C. Ramdeen, 72 of River Plaza, Tarrytown, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, NY.

She was born February 15, 1946 in Guyana, South America, the daughter of Rajrani (Persaud) Ramdeen and the late Phillip Ramdeen. Yvonne was educated in Rosehall High School in Guyana.

Her marriage to Harry Maharaj took place in 1974 in Tarrytown, NY.

Ms. Ramdeen was last employed as a nanny and caregiver for the Day family in Chappaqua, NY. While she resided in Guyana Yvonne worked as a secretary for several business.

A woman devoted for her family, Yvonne's life was centered around her family. She was the happiest when she was with the one's she loved the most. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending quality time with her husband and son.

Survivors include her husband, Harry Maharaj of Tarrytown; her mother, Rajrani Ramdeen; a son, Harry Maharajh of Rochester; Siblings;   Rudolph Ramdeen and wife Debbie,   Mureen Persad and husband Jack,   Jerry Ramdeen and wife Camille,  Clement Ramdin and wife Nancy , Ahillia Pawaroo; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She will forever be remembered for her fun loving nature, laughter, kindness, generosity, and her love for her family.  She will surely be missed by family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 31, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY with The Very Reverend Mark Cunningham, Pastor of St. Francis de Sales Church officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friend on Saturday March 31, 2018 at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of the services.
