St. Johnsville - Sandra L. (Sandy) Kerzic, 74, a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 5, 2017 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home, with her loving family by her side.

She was born November 19, 1942 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Herman and Ethel (Gray) Brower and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School.

Her marriage to Anthony Kerzic took place on July 13, 1962 at St. Mary's Church in Little Falls.

Sandy was last employed at Richardson Brands in Canajoharie. She also worked with her husband Tony, running the family businesses, as the bookkeeper for the former St. Johnsville Valley Auto Sales and the Woodlawn and Serenity Trailer Parks.

Sandy was most happy when she was surrounded by her loved ones, and had a special place in her heart for her granddaughter and great grandchildren. She took much pleasure playing Black Jack at the Turning Stone Casino. In her leisure she enjoyed reading, cooking and baking for her family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Anthony; a son, Todd Kerzic and fiancée Nancy McCarthy of St. Johnsville, her granddaughter, Katherine (Kerzic) McGuire and Brian; two great grandchildren, Alphina and William McGuire. She also had a very special bond with Nancy’s children and grandchildren, Dennis and Cassie (Larsen) McCarthy with Alysse McCarthy; and Elaine and James Davis with Jaxyn Davis; and Craig McCarthy.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Sunday January 15, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (Next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY 518-568-7040. A memorial service will be held following the visitation on Sunday January 15, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial at West St. Johnsville Cemetery  will take place in the spring. All memorial contributions may be made to the Ayres Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
