St. Johnsville - Raymond C. Isley, 94, of the Town of Minden, Fort Plain, NY, passed from this life on Sunday May 28, 2017.

He was born December 9, 1922 in Frankfort, NY the son of the late Charles H. and May C. (Winters) Isley. Raymond was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School.

Mr. Isley was a dairy farmer, taking over the family farm in 1947.

He was a member of St. Johnsville United Methodist Church for over 60 years, serving the church in many official capacities.

Raymond was a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau, and also of the Oneida County Historical Society.

Survivors include a niece, Helen Isley of Lake Wales, Florida; two nephews, Edward Updyke of Schenectady, NY and John Updyke and wife Aimee of Beverly Hills, Florida and several cousins, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Howard Isley and his wife Dorothy, a sister, Mary Updyke and her husband Charles and a niece, Diane Updyke.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 1, 2017 at 10:00 am from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY 518-568-7040, with Reverend Hans Drews, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak View Cemetery, Frankfort, NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday May 31, 2017 from 5-7 pm.
