Utica - Naomi J. Smith, 55, of Utica passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Siegenthaler Center, New Hartford, NY.

She was born April 3, 1962 in Little Falls, the daughter of  Theodore Siegle and the late Jane (Edick) Siegle. Naomi was a graduate of Fort Plain High School and she also graduated from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse. She furthered her education and graduated from Florida Community College at Jacksonville.

She was last employed as a secretary for Alltel Communications in Jacksonville, Florida.

Naomi was of the Lutheran Faith. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister and aunt, who always put the needs of her family first. She enjoyed visiting the Art Galleries at the Museums and in her leisure she enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include, Patrick and his wife Rachel Siegle of Michigan, her other brother Edward Fletcher of Dolgeville; her step mother, Helen Siegle of Michigan; nieces and nephews, Santana Hill and fiancé Bruce St. Onge, Daniel Hill, Jordan Neumann , Kasey Siegle, John Fletcher, Matthew Fletcher, Katherine Fletcher and great nephew Asher Douglas, along with many cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her parents and a nephew, Russell Hill.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday August 2, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 1pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY 315-866-1500. A prayer service will take place at 1:00 pm. Graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
