Little Falls - John "Rollie" Krawecki, 90 of Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 1, 2018 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY.

He was born October 10, 1927 in Little Falls, the son of the late John and Anna (Podluzna) Krawecki. Rollie was a graduate of Little Falls High School.

Mr. Krawecki was a United States Army Veteran, enlisting on September 20, 1950 and was honorably discharged on August 27, 1952 with the rank of Corporal.

Rollie was last employed as a Butcher for the Mohawk Meat Market. Prior to that he was employed at the former Herkimer Chief Market. He started his working career for his parents at the Public Market in Little Falls.

He was a member of the Little Falls Polish Community Club and the Little Falls American Legion, Post 31.

A man centered around family, John proved himself a loving and caring father, grandfather and great grandfather, always putting the needs of his loved ones first.  An avid outdoorsman, Rollie enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Some of his fondest memories were spent at Keyser Lake where he built a camp and enjoyed spending time with his family and dearest friends. In his leisure time he also enjoyed woodworking. John had a special place in his heart for all animals, including his feline companion, Sandy.

Survivors include a son-in-law, Brian Rohacek of Little Falls; his grandchildren, Shannon Maroney and husband Marcus of Worcester, Massachusetts and Jonathan Rohacek and fiancé Catie Hoose of Little Falls; three great grandchildren, Gracelyn Maroney and Ethan and Brody Rohacek; nieces and nephews including a special niece, Kathy Krawecki of Herkimer.

He was pre-deceased in death by his devoted daughter, Kim M. Rohacek on December 26, 2013; and his siblings Michael, Antonia and Raymond.

In keeping with Rollie's wishes there are no calling hours.
