Little Falls-  Jessica Lynn Eckert, 32, of Little Falls, formerly of St. Johnsville, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2017 at Little Falls Hospital. 

Jessica was born on April 10, 1984, in Little Falls, to Fay (Snell) and Gerald “Jake” Eckert. She was educated in St. Johnsville school district and Herkimer Boces, where she received her LPN degree in June 2009.

Jessica loved working with the elderly in many nursing homes, including Rosewood Gardens, St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Alpine Nursing Home, and most recently the Folts Nursing Home in Herkimer. 

As she walked in a room you could feel a lift of spirit the moment she smiled.  Jessica had a passion for life, laughter, and fun; more than anything, she loved her son beyond words.

She leaves behind her son, Aiden Nold Banks, her father Jake Eckert of Sprakers, brother, Joshua and his wife Rebecca Eckert of Sprakers, sister, Brittney Przestrzelski Battisti, nephews, Zachary and Blake Battisti of St. Johnsville, grandparents, Elizabeth & Richard Haak of St. Johnsville, and Glenna Snell of St. Johnsville, many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

 Jessica joins in Heaven, her mother, Fay, her grandmother, Doris Grace Eacker, and grandfather Floyd C. Snell Jr.

 The funeral will be private to family. Family and friends may stop in to the American Legion Post #168, on Main Street in St. Johnsville, on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 3 – 5pm to celebrate Jessica’s life. 

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for the care of Jessica’s son, checks may be made out to Aiden N. Banks, mailed to Keybank 6021 State Highway 5, Palatine Bridge, New York. Please contact the funeral home for details.
