Eric J. Yauney, 29, of St. Johnsville, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Thursday October 6, 2011.

He was born August 5, 1982 in Little Falls the son of Alan and Diane (Fuhs) Yauney. He was educated in Fairbanks, Alaska and attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Eric was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital as a systems engineer for Ascencion Health in Amsterdam, NY.

Eric loved spending time with his family and friends and was always willing to help someone out in need. He loved working with computers and really enjoyed his job in Amsterdam. He will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors include his parents Alan & Diane; his grandparents, Mary & Charles Abeling and Sally Fuhs; a sister, Stephanie Martin and husband Rodney of Tacoma, Washington, two brothers, James A. Yauney and wife Amanda of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jeremy Yauney of St. Johnsville; nephews, Aidan, Joshua and Calvin Martin; aunts and uncles, Bruce Yauney and wife Susan Jones of Martha’s Vineyard, Jeff Yauney and wife Caty Oehring of Fairbanks, Alaska, Susan Yauney and husband Jorgen Wegener of St. Johnsville, Richard Yauney and wife Annette of St. Johnsville, Donna Young and husband Ronald of Fort Plain, Debra McFee and husband Dixon of Fort Plain, Dolores Fuhs of Lexington, Kentucky and Ken Abeling and wife Joanne of Naperville, Illinois; and many cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his grandparents, James H. Yauney, Edna Quinn and Donald Fuhs.
