.Ilion - Diana L. Vandenberg, 57, of Ilion, passed from her earthly life unexpectedly on Tuesday June 21, 2016.

She was born October 22, 1958 in Ilion, NY the daughter of Irene (Hoke) Vandenberg and the late Theodore M. Vandenberg. Diana was a graduate of Herkimer High School, class of 1976.

Her life was centered around her loved ones, proving herself a caring and devoted daughter, sister and aunt. Diana loved to laugh and be with her family. She had a love and  talent for cooking, crocheting, and crafts that she shared with her friends and family.

She is survived by her mother, Irene of Herkimer, her sister, Christine DiLeone and husband Vincent of South Windsor, CT; two brothers, Theodore Vandenberg of Herkimer and Dale Vandenberg and wife Kelly of Mohawk; her special nephews and niece, Anthony & Jeffrey DiLeone, Andrew Vandenberg and Nicole (Vandenberg) George; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, New Location, 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY 866-1500. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday June 28, 2016 from 5 pm until the time of the services. Burial will take place on Wednesday June 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at Mohawk Cemetery, Columbia St., Mohawk, NY.
