St. Johnsville - Alberta M. Waufle, 81 of St. Johnsville, passed away peacefully on Monday July 24, 2017 at Wilkinson Residential, Amsterdam, NY with her loving family by her side.

She was born June 4, 1936 in Princetown, NY the daughter of  late Charles and Luetta (Bennett) Belfance and was educated in Mariaville School in Schenectady, NY

Alberta was married to Ivan C. Waufle on December 24, 1958 in Nelliston, NY.

Mrs. Waufle was last employed at Helmont Mills in St. Johnsville, NY. At one time she worked at the former Felt Shoe Co., in St. Johnsville, NY.

Alberta’s life revolved around her family, with the happiest times being in the company of her loved ones, especially her loving grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and tending her flower gardens. Alberta enjoyed watching television, and the Food network was one of her favorite channels.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Ivan; her children, Susan (Everett) Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, Donna (James) Rorick of Fultonville and William (Rachel) Waufle of Fort Johnson, NY; seven grandchildren, Steven, Jessica, Shauna, DJ, James Jr., Matthew and Ethan; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Phelps and Naiomi Sokalski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her granddaughter, Bailey Marie Waufle, a brother, Richard Belfance, and three sisters, Ellen Baran, Marion Blakeslee and Irene Belfance.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Thursday July 27, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY 518-568-7040. Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of floral arrangements please make all memorial contributions to either the Community Hospice, 246 Mannys Corners Rd, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
