Herkimer – Adam P. (Bear) Frappier, 38, a life long Herkimer resident, passed away on Thursday February 9, 2017 from natural causes.

He was born on February 5, 1979 in Herkimer the son of E. Richard and Paula (Marollo) Frappier. Adam was a graduate of Herkimer High School, class of 1997. He furthered his education by earning his heavy equipment license from Madison/Oneida county BOCES and his welding license from Herkimer County Community College.

Bear was last employed at Remington Arms in Ilion as a Fork Lift operator.

Adam was a selfless man, always putting the needs of others before his own. He was a loving son, grandson, fiancée, brother and uncle. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing and sitting around a fire in the company of his good friends. He was fond of classic trucks and enjoyed his 4 wheelers and snowmobiles or anything that went fast.

Survivors include his parents, Richard and Paula of Herkimer; his fiancée, Lynne LiBritz and her children, Andrew and Nicholas of Herkimer; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Swem of Gouverneur; brother, Jason Frappier of Herkimer; sister, Danielle Frappier and fiancée Ken Ward of Herkimer; four nieces, Abigail Frappier, Madysen Ward, Gabriella Frappier and Alexis Frappier; several aunts and uncles including his Godparents, Uncle Peter and Aunt Kathy Marollo of Herkimer and Aunt Bonnie Yatarola of Herkimer, and a Great Aunt, Lucy Marollo of Herkimer; many cousins including, his special cousins, Jessica and Donnie (Meatball) Marollo of Herkimer; and numerous friends including his long time special friends, Robert and Heather Paul of Ilion and Luke and Andrea Michael of Ilion. He is also survived by his canine companions, Bear and Koda.

He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Betty Marollo and his paternal grandfather, Ernest Frappier.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at 6:00 pm from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (Next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY 315-866-1500. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, will take place in the spring. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday February 15, 2017 from 4:00 pm until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers please make all memorial contributions to the Herkimer Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
